Saraswathi Pooja – Why it has to be Celebrated

According to Hindu mythology Saraswathi is the Goddess of education and art.  On the day of Saraswathi pooja or Ayudha pooja we clean our house and keep pottu with sandhanam and kumkum to the books and all the materials we are using. We do pooja at evening to Goddess Saraswathi by keeping books and the tools or small weapons like knife we are using in our house. We do pooja even to the vehicles we are using . By doing so we believe Goddess sarawathi will keep us safe without any injuries and dangers, she will bless us with good education. Saraswathi pooja or Ayudha pooja is celebrated  not only in houses but almost in all the places like hospitals, shops, colleges.,

Whether we are getting the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi or not is apart ,  Our ancestors made this day to respect and thank the materials or things that helps us to run our day to day life. Whether it is our car or tv or fridge which is helping us  daily to make our day easy and better all through the year this is the day on which we thank all the things we are using. By this way our ancestors taught us to see God in all the things around us and so  respect them.  on the whole Saraswathi pooja is celebrated to respect and thank the materials or things that gives us knowledge and helps us to live our life in happy and peace.

May all of us get the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi and prosper in life.
